It is possible for Wes and the other Gunners to turn immediately hostile. Wes will tell everyone to lower their weapons. As soon as the doors are open, the assaultron attacks and all the Gunners including Wise turn hostile. Wise continues to attack even when everyone else is killed, and after he is downed.
